Daniel Howson, Founder and President

Daniel Howson is a proven leader in the renewable energy industry with over 10 years of experience in sales, field marketing, management, training, and program development. He has recruited, trained, and managed field marketing and sales professionals, helping launch and develop careers in the renewable energy industry. In 2014, Daniel began developing a comprehensive training curriculum that teaches field marketing and sales skills, directly resulting in over $9.5MM of revenue and 2.48 MW of installed residential solar energy. Daniel brings his training and leadership talents to a dynamic and motivating curriculum that includes courses in Solar Power 101, Advanced Renewable Energy, Sales Techniques, Presentation Skills, Teamwork, Customer Service, Leadership, Coaching, and Mentoring for a career in renewable energy.

In addition to several years generating leads and selling in the field, Daniel has held positions as Canvass Supervisor, Field Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, and Sales Director. As the Manager of Special Projects for a top solar company in the U.S., he began developing a sales and training program that would hire and retain hundreds of employees across the country.

Daniel holds a Master’s of Natural Resource Law Studies from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management from the University of Colorado. Since beginning his career in the green building industry in 2007, Daniel has gained experience with zero-zero home construction, energy efficiency, and solar energy on a residential, commercial, and community scale.

Daniel’s strengths come through his ability to understand the knowledge and skill levels of participants and use his knowledge and experience to tailor training programs to increase their sales skills and performance. He designs and delivers programs in a way that excites and motivates individuals and groups to develop their understanding of solar energy and their ability to sell, generate business, and increase their value to their company.


Julia Winton, Senior Curriculum Manager

Julia Winton is a renewable energy professional committed to transforming energy infrastructure to clean energy to create a more sustainable economy. For nearly a decade, she has dedicated herself to the solar energy industry, strengthening her skills in supporting regional business operations, process improvement, project management, and problem-solving.

Graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Environmental Science, Julia’s experience began in the field as an environmental scientist monitoring the wildlife and ecosystems of Florida. In 2011, Julia moved to Colorado to begin the next chapter of her career in residential solar and added a Master’s Degree in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado to her list of accomplishments.

Julia has an uncanny talent for getting to the most important details of any given subject or challenge, giving her a unique ability to assist in curating effective and informative training programs and learning curriculums.


Joe Boccardo, Senior Learning Manager

Joe Boccardo is a sales strategist, team-builder, and educator who is dedicated to creating solutions for issues from climate change and our energy future, to natural resource management, education accessibility, and income equality. Joe’s set of experiences includes roles in the residential solar industry supporting regional growth initiatives, leading cross-functional efforts between sales, operations, and project management, and developing strategies to maximize sales activities.

Joe received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Northeastern University. Half of his studies took place at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Spain, leading to fluency in Spanish and French. Joe’s experience learning, teaching, and working in several industries in different regions of the world gives him a unique perspective on the most effective learning and teaching methods for any given position.
